The most horrific experience!!! Never book with ovago!!!

I booked for a flight leaving from fort myers to Newark yesterday for 4:15 pm through Spirit airlines and when I went to check in it told me first Im in the wrong airport!!! I ran to spirit reservation desk and when they looked into it they told me I was not in that flight. I tried frantically to find an email from them and saw they had not only changed the airport but also the dates I fly and return and times from what I had booked. It was a non refundable ticket so they refused to change the itinerant despite it not being what I had imputed and they argued that I needed to send them an email proof of what I was saying!!!

This is criminal to purchase one thing and for them to completely change everything an send you something else! My children were absolutely devastated we could not fly yesterday to go be with our family for Easter. They refused to refund my money!!! Absolute thieves!

Never ever book with this agency they are fraudulent you think your buying tickets but your not buying what you requested. I lost two days of work money and two families devastated all because of ovago.

I have been stranded in Heathrow London for 24 hours now. No hotel voucher, no bags, same clothes, and zero help from Ovago.

I was told about a delayed flight from Chicago the same hour I arrived at ohare for my flight. Ovago said theyd start working on my connecting flight from London to Bahrain immediately. 7 hour flight later, no flight, they claimed I had tickets for 10pm, but never confirmed with the airline. They have sent me three generic emails just to say theyd start working are working on it with zero results.

Im still sitting here currently and no response from them. They couldnt get me compensation, they wont contact the airline that caused this issue, they wont provide hotel, they cant find my bags, avoid this garbage travel service at all costs.

Terrible does not begin to describe them. 105 countries traveled and this is by far my worst experience.

I want to clarify that the airline has specific policies in place regarding rescheduling, especially when changes are made within 24 hours of the original flight time. Unfortunately, once a flight is rescheduled so close to the departure time, it’s ultimately at the airline’s discretion whether they will accept the changes or cancel the booking. While we made every effort to assist with the rescheduling, the airline’s decision to cancel your booking falls outside of our control. We did our best to help in the circumstances, but ultimately, boarding and cancellations are up to the airline.

I strongly advise against using Ovago, based on my recent experience with them. After I purchased a flight ticket on a website that processed the booking via Ovago, the latter sent me an email confirmation, but the flight hours were changed!

They actually booked a different flight than what I had selected (for some unknown reason) without even contacting me about it in advance.

When I called, their representative acknowledged this but tried to convince me not to cancel again and again - I ended up canceling and buying the ticket elsewhere, receiving a refund only two weeks later. If they (and Underpricer - same company) are still engaged in this clearly unethical and possibly illegal practice, don't ever use them.

Cons:

  • Booking wrong flights

Horrible company

This is a garbage company. I purchased tickets to Cairo from Anchorage and there were many many changes before the flight.

That really wasn't too much of a problem but the customer support is pretty much useless. Also, when returning from Cairo, they had cancelled two of the five tickets and they couldn't be issued for the last leg of the trip. I was in touch with both Ovago and Lufthansa attempting to get either the original flight tickets issued or any flight afterward. They refused and I ultimately ended up having to purchase five additional tickets for $2k to get home.

They adamantly refused to reimburse me for the expense despite it being their mistake in the issuing of the tickets. I'd steer clear of this company at all costs.

If i could give AVAGO a zero i would.

its a total scam. we bought international flight tickets and spent more than $5000. We went to logan airport we were told we got there as the gates were closing. we were told to call the agent/AVAGO to rescedule out tickets and they told us there was no way that we had to buy new tickets to go to our destination and that half the ticket price would be refunded to us.

we bought new tickets for a one way in hopes of having our return reissued as a one way. on getting to our destinations we called AVAGO they denied that claim saying since we missed the flights ( round way) they can't refund or reissue tickets for a one way after then saying they would.

so we needed up buying new tickets. they also stated blaming the airline we were supposed to board yet in reality the airline doesn't get paid untill the people have actually boarded.

For EL AL Israel Airlines, the required procedure is to cancel the existing booking and rebook it with the correct name. Ovago is basically a scam. My daughter bought a ticket and was given the option of paying $300 more for a refundable ticket.

We received an invoice that only stated the final cost of the ticket. It did not include the additional charge we paid and it did not state that our ticket was refundable.

When we had to cancel her flight we spent, literally, one month trying to get our money back. We were not successful. Ovago's customer service is exceptionally terrible.

Its hard to get anyone to answer the phone, calls get dropped, they tell you someone is assigned your case and they will call you (they don't).

Do yourself a favor and *never* do business with Ovago.

An another site Ovago responded with an an inaccurate description of the process so i added more details: My daughter and I called several times. On the three occasions we got to speak to a person we were told that three different people were working on our case and would call back within 2-4 hours. They did not.

When we did finally get a call back it was at 11:30pm eastern standard time. Who does that!?!

The "review" of the screenshots of our purchase that were supposedly archived, took two weeks during which all of my emails went unanswered.

When I finally got a call with an update I was told that the policies on cancelation were clear and that we did not qualify for a refund despite knowing that we paid an additional fee for a refundable ticket.

When I asked for copies of the screenshots, I was told customer service doesn't have access to them.

So, to summarize, the advertised fare of $1039 went up to $1400 with our selected tariff. The invoice we received made no mention of the additional fare. It took us almost 8 weeks to get help. And the "proof" that it was our fault was not available to customer service or to us.

The "refund" we are waiting on (still don't have it) is for a little more than $100 on a $1400 ticket.

I don't know who wrote the other positive reviews on this site, but I would definitely find any other travel site. I will be actively looking for other review sites to spread the word on what can only be described as a barely legal scam.

Worst experience I have ever had booking through Skyscanner. I was advised by email and voicemail to change to another plane without any reason, and my original reservation ticket was suspended.

When I asked them to stop calling because I couldn't take their calls, they kept calling. When I told customer service that I wanted them to proceed with my original reservation because they were not responding to my emails, they threatened that the original flight may already be booked. I also had to email them my passport information instead of filling out the form myself, and even that email was overlooked, and the reservation was not secured until I finally made a call. Then another email and phone call demanded more than twice the cost of getting my own seat assignment.

It was the worst two weeks I have ever had. I will never use them again and will report them to Skyscanner as a scam.

SCAMMERS!!! If I could have given a -5, I would have done so.

I purchased my 3 flight tickets online, the payment went through successfully, but I never received the booking confirmation in my email. That set off a red flag and I decided to call customer service. They told me to wait 24hrs. I waited until the next day and got transferred between departments 8 times, only for them to tell me that since my fare price had increased, they could not issue the ticket and they issued a refund for the mistake.

The refund takes 3-10 business days and this cost me the opportunity to book another flight. Don't make my mistake and BOOK with a SERIOUS Company.

Preferred solution: I wanted to keep my flight booking and they had no solution other than refund, for their mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Consequently, no charges have been processed on your account. Our customer service team previously offered to assist you in finding new options and alternative flights, but you declined. Regrettably, due to a fare increase, we are unable to offer you the same rate as your original booking. Please note that air ticket prices are constantly fluctuating, and the availability of seats is valid only at the time of viewing the itinerary.

It is subject to change at any time and is beyond our control. As stipulated in our terms and conditions, up until the ticket is issued, the price is not guaranteed. Travel agencies and Airlines do not guarantee the availability of seats, or for the price to stay the same, not even for the next 5 minutes. All the flight options are taken directly from the airline's inventory.

So if in the airline's inventory the price has increased, we are not able to issue you the ticket with the old price.

We apologize once again for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Kind regards, Ovago Service Team

THE WORST TRAVEL COMPANY in the world!! We paid $5,600 for four tickets and we cancelled our trip on day when war started in Israel. Definitely felt not safe travel to instanbul!!!

To rebook new flights they asked for $4,400 to pay after we paid our fee when we cancelled our trip. I will open a claim and will get paid back
