It is a scam. They showed the price way cheaper but when you proceed to purchase the ticket, all over sudden, they charge you much higher price.

Ovago is the scammer

SCAMMERS!!! If I could have given a -5, I would have done so.

I purchased my flight tickets online, the payment went through successfully, but I never received the booking confirmation in my email. That set off a red flag and I decided to call customer service. They told me to wait 24hrs. I waited until the next day and got transferred between departments 8 times, only for them to tell me that since my fare price had increased, they could not issue the ticket and they issued a refund for the mistake.

The refund takes 3-10 business days and this cost me the opportunity to book another flight. Don't make my mistake and BOOK with a SERIOUS Company.

Unauthorized Charge

Ovago is a terrible company. Ginny charged my card without my consent.

I have multiple screenshots stating not to charge my card, but she did it anyway. She basically said, 'Don't be confused,' and refused to refund me. This is the worst company I have ever worked with.

DO NOT use them. Also, Ginny is the worst and is not helpful at all.

Upon reviewing the interaction timeline between you and Ginny, our records indicate the following: - Ginny informed you of the additional charge for seat assignments totaling $410 on June 12, 2024, at 02:10 AM.

- You provided approval to proceed with the seat assignments on June 12, 2024, at 02:58 AM. - A confirmation of your seat request was sent to your email on June 12, 2024, at 06:33 PM. - You responded affirmatively at June 12, 2024, 06:46 PM, stating, "Hello, thank you so much! I will keep an eye out for the email." Based on this information, it is clear that the charges for the seat assignments were authorized by you during the interaction with Ginny.

Our policy strictly adheres to obtaining customer consent before proceeding with any additional charges or transactions. Apparently, once the seats are assigned, the charges are nonrefundable. The request to not charge your card was received on 12-Jun-2024 at 21:06, which is already late since the purchase was already done and completed. We sincerely apologize if there was any confusion or misunderstanding regarding this matter.

There travel insurance is a scam beware I was told I can reschedule my flight anytime when time comes I can't even with medical record that I had a huge surgery still wants more records *** cause when I bought insurance I was never told I had to do all this now I gotta book a different flight cost more money bad enough I'm stuck in a different country

Ovago - A week of a headache and stress

I booked a round-trip flight with them, but about a month before the departure I found out that Poland will not let me cross the boarder even with the US citizenship. But I can enter it through Lithuania.

My hometown is in a unique situation and traveling to and from the place can be challenging. Well, it's ok, I thought to myself. Things happen and I will just rebook one of the flights and instead of flying back home from Gdansk I will fly from Vilnius (non of the other flight need to be changed at all). First I emailed the company and gave it some time.

Never heard a word (first red flag). Then I called and spoke to a person who was very nice, but he informed me that somebody was in charge of my case and this person will call me that same evening. Never heard from that person. I called again the next day and spoke to another person who informed that he had to submit a request for a change and he will call me back in 30 mins.

You can guess, he didn't called back. However, I heard from him the next day and he said that the total fee to change my flight is 450$ plus the price of the flight. We are talking about, and I am not exaggerating to trying to minimize things, a one hour flight. I went online and checked the prices and was looking at about 100$ to just buy a new ticket.

So, since I can't enter Poland through my hometown, I am taking a bus to Vilnus and flying to Poland for 80$ and taking my original flight. I am losing a day of my trip and adding a lot of unnecessary traveling, but it is still much much cheaper than what Ovago has offered. $450$ fee for a flight that barely cost 100$. They will not assist you or help you in anyway.

You are better off booking through an airline directly. I do not understand how they can call themselves a travel agency when they provide zero help or assistance to travelers and rip people with extreme and outright fraudulent fees.

For all people, please never buy flight tickets from Ovago. They will try every dirty tricks to get money from you. This is a 100% scam company.

Scammers

be careful, when buying flight tickets through Ovago, they will steal money from you even though you purchase travel protection for your flight, and submit the required documentation, they will do everything possible not to refund your money. they are scammers.

I have a case opened with them, I canceled a flight a week before the date(enough time) and submitted the only info I have to justify my refund and they won't refund my money. The last thing I will do is open legal actions with them if I do not receive any response from my last feedback.

They are thieves.

I was traveling from the USA to Germany.

After I initially booked my flight, the Ovago team persistently contacted me and added a flight to Oman to my itinerary, claiming it was a promotional offer and I didn't have to take it, but still, it was shown in my ticket, so they made Germany a transit not a final destination, which caused significant complications at the airport.

I understood from the airline this made my flight cheaper for them.

And then when I reached the Ovagao team while I was in the airport -before my flight with 2hrs.- and asked to fix this mess, telling them that I knew the actual price -which was almost half of the price- they said they would give me a refund, but after I took the flight to Germany and of course missed the second one to Oman -which give me a flag- I called them, and they refused to return the money. In a very childish attitude.

Their customer service is so unhelpful.

Typically, I don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so due to the objectively poor experience I had. If you have alternatives, I strongly recommend not booking with them.

The war started and they did not refund me despite the flights were canceled. They are not safe!

FAILURE TO REFUND

A ticket purchased only after explicit promises from CARTER at OVAGO that it was refundable is, after being paid for, apparently difficult to refund. OVAGO has taken over 13 days and is still unable to resolve this issue, and wants me to wait 3 more days for a "customer service supervisor" to review the issues involved - after 2 previous "supervisors" have had me wait 1 day and then 2 days to get resolutions, and all previous emails, phone calls, texts have resulted in nothing.

The flight is now unusable, the ticket is cancelled by the airline and OVAGO, and yet no refund is forthcoming. DON'T USE OVAGO.

I was booked on a flight that had not existed for four months.

They did not get back with me when they could not solve my problem by booking me on another flight the following day. Just a blank email was sent.

I eventually ended up never going on the trip. They are in the process of refunding me the ticket.

Ovago runs a scam and is a total nightmare

Ovago is a total nightmare - in business class, Lufthansa, my wife had a name change to her married name when her passport expired - when I booked ticket for her and little kids I used maiden name (unknowing, a simple mistake). After assuring me they would get the name changed, Ovago dragged it out for a month, and then left me hanging with two days until our family trip - now I have found out they issued a FALSE invoice for the amount they charged me ($6,000 versus the $14,000 I actually paid).

The airline tells me that Ovago didn't even make the booking - now I have found that they used miles to upgrade me, and the ticket is completely unchangeable. Ovago used miles from a third party ("Majestic Vacations") which is unreachable, making it impossible for me to get a name change. The third party is in China somewhere. Ovago has caused my family huge anxiety, and I have spent at least 50 hours (literally) on the phone.

This is a scam, based on the use of miles by third parties. The false invoice is surely a violation of federal law also.

Worst customer service when British Airways flight rescheduled the flight

Ovago is forcing family to accept 30 pls of layovers after BA reschedule the flight . Selling available seats to higher prices by telling that flight got rescheduled

No, they are not safe to buy airline tickets from. Be aware of their scam.

They will cancel your confirmed ticket if they find a customer willing to pay more for your ticket. This is what they do: they issue you a confirmed ticket for the cheap price that you think you managed to get. Then they cancel your flight and offer you either a refund or reschedule your flight to another date. If you take the option of rescheduling, then you have taken their bait.

This is because they leave your booking in processing state unconfirmed forever and in the meantime, they try to find other customers who are willing to pay more. If some another customer accepts to buy the same ticket for the higher newly advertised price, they ditch you stating that the airlines did not process your ticket (they blame the airlines and get away). If no one gets the higher ticket, then they give you the ticket. You have a huge chance of not flying because of this immoral price bidding genius technique they've adopted.

Pay a little bit more with a reputable known online travel booking agent like Priceline, Expedia...

etc. and save yourself.stScammers
